Ingredients:
Rice vinegar
Salt
Sugar
Short-grain rice, cooked (Long-grains won't stick!)
Seaweed sheets
Imitation crab flakes
Avocados, peeled and sliced
Cucumbers, cut into sticks (I searched my entire kitchen but it was nowhere to be found...)
Yellow radish pickles, cut into sticks (This is optional, but I absolutely love them)
Sesame seeds (for garnishing)
Directions:
1. Mix cooked rice with a little bit of vinegar, sugar, and salt. (I was going to use white rice only but I accidentally mixed some brown rice. Oh well, clumsy me. Brown rice is not as sticky as white rice but it's okay as long as it's not long-grain and you don't use them alone.)
2. Place a sheet of seaweed, rice, and the rest of the ingredients on a bamboo mat (covered with plastic wrap). Rock 'n Roll! No wait, don't rock, just roll. There's a great video on how to make California rolls. It's probably more helpful than this posting. *shrug*
3. When you're done rolling, sprinkle some sesame seeds.
4. Slice and serve with soy sauce and wasabi.
